Sandy Vollmer - Youth Director
Sandy Vollmer was born and raised in Elyria, Ohio. She graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, OH, in 1990 with a BFA focusing in graphic design. She worked as a full-time graphic designer until her five children were born, blessing her life abundantly.
Sandy has a passion for working with youth and children and the visual arts. In 2011 she went back to school and received her Master of Arts and Teaching degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She is certified as an art teacher for grades K-12 and taught as a substitute teacher from 2011-2013.
Sandy has many years of experience working with youth and children as a volunteer youth adviser and Sunday School teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee, FL (1991- 2001), Rejoice Lutheran Church in Geneva, IL (2001-2004), and St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin, TN (2004-present).
She served on the congregation council of St. Andrew from 2011-2013 as liaison to the fellowship committee and the faith formation committee. After much prayer, it made sense for Sandy to serve her home church as the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries. Sandy is enthusiastic about working with and walking beside children, youth, and families as their journey unfolds, growing in faith together.
Sandy appreciates the outdoors and the arts. She loves to garden, hike, bicycle, walk the family dog Pepper, watercolor paint, draw, and visit museums. She lives in Franklin, TN with her husband Chuck and their five children Glen, James, Cami, Tim and Corinna.
